It has been suggested that all ministries instruct their anti-corruption operation centers to develop the Integrity and Transparency Assessment (ITA) process for greater efficiency in curbing corruption.

The suggestion is included in a set of recommendations to be reported to the Cabinet by the NACC. The report features results of ITA, analyzed by NACC in the operations of government agencies for the 2019 fiscal year.

According to the report, results of ITA have been adopted by various state agencies in their anti-corruption drive, and the ITA program has also been improved in response to the demands of the people, especially in the policy of promoting transparency and "open government.”

NACC suggested that state media organizations publicize ITA in order to raise anti-corruption awareness among both officials and the general public across the country and encourage them to play a greater role in the assessment. Their participation will help the results of ITA to better reflect the operations of relevant government organizations.

NACC expects that about two million officials and members of the public will take part in ITA in the 2020 fiscal year. The public may join this program through answering questionnaires on the website itas.nacc.go.th between June and July 2020.

Their participation in reflecting the transparency of state agencies will help make the ITA more effective in the fight against corruption for the maximum benefit of the Thai people.

In the 2020 fiscal year, a total of 8,304 government organizations nationwide have joined the ITA program, which is part of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy – Phase 3 (2017-2021) and is intended to mitigate the risk of corruption and misconduct in the public sector in Thailand.
